I am a Student at Chapman University, studying Business Administration. I am multicultural as I grew up in Taiwan while studying in an American school. This also made me bilingual as I became fluent in both Chinese and English. I have interned at the marketing department of Volvo Singapore and also as a head counselor at Taipei American School. I hope to use my education in business administration to excel in the business world after I graduate.
During the summer of 2018 I worked in Monticello Vineyard in Napa Valley, California for a month. I worked in the cellar doing everything from washing barrels to working at the production line to taking samples for the winemaker. I spent the majority of my time washing barrels in the sun as I was an intern and it was one of the easiest most straight forward jobs there. If I got lucky, I would be able to get out of the burning sun and go take small samples of the wine from the barrels for the wine maker to try and test in the lab. When there aren’t enough people on the production line, I would go and dump bottles onto the belt or stick labels onto the wine bottle. From this experience, I gained a deeper appreciation of the work needed to run a sustain a successful company.
I became an intern at Wearnes automotive for a month during my summer vacation. I worked for Volvo's marketing department. I planned events for them and also created advertisements that were displayed at bus stations in Singapore. I also helped with recording invoices and forwarding them to the financial department of the company. I learned the basics of working in the marketing department.
